Job summary

Essential Employment Services, Inc. is seeking a Retail Personal Service Provider Lead for a cannabis dispensary in Norwich, CT. You will lead by example, ensuring high levels of customer service and compliance in daily operations.

You will oversee PSP training, cash handling, and efficient dispensary management while educating customers on products, strains, and consumption methods. Evening and weekend availability is required.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old as required by state law.
• 2–3 years of dispensary or cannabis customer service experience; leadership preferred.
• Strong knowledge of cannabis products, strains, and consumption methods.
• Proven ability to lead by example and motivate staff.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; compliant with local laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Open/close dispensary as Key Holder.
• Train PSPs; ensure dispensing and payments are compliant and accurate.
• Handle cash processes; reconcile daily cash and deposits.
• Assist with store inventory management and restocking.
• Coordinate staff break schedules to maximize customer support.
• Address customer service issues professionally and authoritatively.
• Ensure accurate product labeling and storage per regulatory standards.
• Assist customers with product selection and education.
• Stay informed on products, strains, and industry trends.
• Work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
