Job summary

HDR is seeking a highly experienced Senior Leader to serve as Major Bridge Technical Director within the Bridges and Structures group of its Transportation Business. The role combines deep technical mastery with strategic leadership across HDR’s major bridges portfolio.

You will oversee design and production efforts, lead staffing and training, mentor junior engineers, and champion QA/QC procedures while fostering client relationships and pursuing major pursuits across North America and beyond.

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Structural Engineering.
• PE license or ability to reciprocity (SE preferred).
• 20+ years of bridge project and client management experience.

Responsibilities

• Champion leadership in planning, directing, and monitoring large, complex bridge projects.
• Provide proactive technical oversight and cross-team coordination.
• Deliver technical leadership for bridge design and production efforts.
