HDR is seeking an experienced Senior Major Bridge Technical Director to lead the technical direction of HDR’s major bridge portfolio within the Bridges and Structures group. The role combines deep engineering expertise with leadership to guide design, production, and staffing across multi-disciplinary teams.

You will champion high-level technical solutions, mentor engineers, support business development, and ensure adherence to HDR standards and QA/QC across projects, including complex long-span

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering.
• Professional Engineer license (PE or P.Eng) with reciprocity.
• 10+ years bridge design experience.
• Experience with design of long-span bridges.
• Knowledge of listed design software tools.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for large bridge projects.
• Direct planning, design, and production across teams.
• Mentor junior engineers and supervise staff.
• Support marketing and major bridge pursuits.
• Ensure QA/QC and adherence to standards.
