Job summary

IMEG is seeking a Senior Bridge Engineer in Sioux Falls, SD to lead large, complex bridge projects and act as project manager or lead engineer. You will deliver structural design, detailing for bridges and related structures, while mentoring staff and ensuring project goals are met.

You will collaborate across disciplines, manage budgets, client relations, and provide engineering solutions that support resilient infrastructure. Travel up to 25% and full-time employment are included.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil/Structural Engineering (or equivalent)
• PE license required
• Structural Engineer (SE) license or SE exam required
• 8+ years in building design consulting preferred

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, oversee and manage projects of varying size and complexity.
• Lead project interviews and client presentations.
• Assist with design scopes, fee calculations, proposals, and contract reviews.
• Create project schedules with milestones and deadlines.
• Prepare monthly billings and update billing projections.
• Ensure designs meet owner, IMEG, and code requirements with QC.
• Coordinate design with staff and lead design meetings.
• Provide documentation for progress meetings and project reviews.
• Mentor, train and motivate staff.
• Develop and maintain client relationships.
