Job summary

IMEG Corp. is hiring a Bridge Project Designer in Sioux Falls, SD to lead design efforts for bridges and related structures. You will mentor colleagues and collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project goals for transportation and public works.

The role requires a BS in Civil/Structural Engineering and 5–6 years of building design experience, with proficiency in Civil 3D and related tools. Travel up to 15% and full-time, onsite work are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or equivalent required.
• 5 years of experience minimum required, 6 preferred, in the building design consulting industry.
• Proficiency with Civil 3D and industry standard engineering tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead structural design, detailing, and drafting for bridges, retaining walls, culverts, and other transportation structures.
• Lead design efforts for the analysis of civil engineering projects.
• Use engineering software and tools to develop detailed designs, specifications, and calculations according to code and IMEG standards.
• Gather project requirements and communicate technical information to build client relationships.
• Lead project planning, budgeting, and scheduling to meet deadlines and objectives.
• Document client design decisions and monitor progress, including percent complete and fees.
