Job summary

IMEG Corp. is seeking a Senior Bridge Engineer in Sioux Falls, SD to lead large, complex bridge projects and act as project manager or lead engineer.

You will spearhead design and detailing for bridges, walls, culverts, and related transportation structures, while mentoring staff and expanding client relationships. You will manage budgets, contribute to business development, and ensure designs meet owner and IMEG standards, with collaborative work across teams and frequent client communications.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil or Structural Engineering is required.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• Structural Engineer (SE) license or SE exam required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, oversee, and manage projects of varying size and complexity, serving as a point of contact for teams and clients.
• Collaborate with business development staff, Project Executives, Client Executives, and Market Directors/Leaders during project opportunities.
• Assist with design scopes of work, fee calculations, proposal generation, and contract reviews.
• Create project schedules with milestone and deadline targets.
• Create monthly billings, submit financial information to Accounting, and update billing projections and estimated completion percentages.
• Ensure designs meet owner standards and requirements, IMEG standards, and code requirements, while completing quality-control processes and construction technical support on time.
• Collaborate with design staff, coordinate project schedules through design and construction, and lead progress meetings with documentation.
• Lead project interviews and presentations.
• Respond to and resolve client and construction concerns, manage change orders, and obtain appropriate approvals.
• Train, mentor, and motivate staff.
• Build, maintain, and develop client relationships.
