The role requires a BS in Civil/Structural Engineering and 5+ years in building design consulting, with strong Civil 3D skills and travel up to 15%. Sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil or Structural Engineering (required).
• 5+ years in building design consulting; 6 preferred.
• Basic understanding of AASHTO LRFD and state DOT manuals.
• Proficiency in Civil 3D and related engineering software.

Responsibilities

• Lead structural design, detailing, and drafting for bridges and related structures.
• Lead design efforts for analysis of civil projects.
• Develop designs, specs, and calculations per code and IMEG standards.
• Communicate technical information and build client relationships.
• Support project execution as part of a team.
• Plan, budget, and schedule projects; monitor progress.
• Document design decisions and monitor progress and fees.
• Analyze problems with senior staff to develop practical solutions.
• Conduct in-process design reviews and quality control.
