Job summary

IMEG Corp. in Sioux Falls, SD is seeking a Bridge Project Designer to lead structural design efforts for bridges and related transportation structures. You will mentor colleagues and collaborate with senior staff on larger projects within a strong ESOP culture.

The role focuses on planning, budgeting, and coordinating project activities, with up to 15% travel and full-time work schedule. A BS in Civil/Structural Engineering and 5+ years of experience are required.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil/Structural Engineering or equivalent.
• 5 years minimum experience; 6 preferred in building design consulting.
• Proficiency in Civil 3D and state DOT design manuals.
• Strong communication, mentoring and team skills.
• Ability to travel up to 15% with possible overnight stays.

Responsibilities

• Lead structural design, detailing for bridges and related structures.
• Lead design for analysis of civil engineering projects.
• Use software to develop designs, specs, calculations per code and IMEG standards.
• Gather requirements, communicate technically, build client relationships.
• Support project execution as part of a team.
• Lead planning, budgeting and scheduling activities to meet deadlines.
• Document design decisions and monitor progress, fee expended.
• Analyze problems and develop practical, efficient solutions.
• Conduct in-process design reviews and QC.
• Apply design criteria and regulatory compliance with multidisciplinary teams.
