Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a lead structural engineer for its national bridge practice. You will serve as a Technical/Task Lead on long-span and complex projects, directing design teams and performing advanced analyses with clients and contractors.

You may sign and seal contract documents where permitted, mentor staff, and contribute to business development and project delivery while upholding safety and quality across diverse locations.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in structural engineering or a related discipline.
• PE license with ability to obtain license in multiple states; SE license desirable.
• 15+ years of demonstrated professional experience including Engineer of Record or Lead Engineer in charge of final design and construction support.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical capability in long-span and complex bridges across assigned markets.
• Sign and seal contract documents where appropriate and ensure compliance with codes and regulations.
• Direct and coordinate staff, plan multi-office project execution, and manage schedules and budgets.
