Job summary

Jacobs is expanding its national bridge team and seeking a lead engineer for long-span and complex bridges across the Americas. The role involves technical leadership, design and construction support, and client engagement in a hybrid U.S. environment.

The candidate should have a Master’s in structural engineering, a PE license (SE desirable), and at least 15 years of experience on major bridge projects, including design-bid-build and design-build delivery.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in structural engineering or related discipline.
• PE license with ability to obtain license in multiple states; SE license desirable.
• Minimum fifteen years of professional engineering experience including Engineer of Record or Lead Engineer.
• Experience in long-span and complex bridges including cable-stayed, arch, segmental types.

Responsibilities

• Represent Jacobs’ technical capabilities in long-span and complex bridges.
• Lead staff for engineering analysis, design, and development of contract documents.
• Sign and seal contract documents where appropriate.
• Direct multi-office project staffing and scheduling.
• Mentor staff and lead technical best practices.
