Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a seasoned lead engineer to drive national long-span and complex bridge projects across the Americas. You’ll guide design teams, perform advanced analysis, and ensure contract documentation meets codes and client needs.

You’ll influence business development, mentor staff, and coordinate multi-office resources while maintaining schedule, budget, and quality commitments.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in structural engineering or a related discipline required.
• PE license with ability to obtain in multiple states; SE license desirable.
• Minimum 15 years of demonstrated professional experience including Engineer of Record or Lead Engineer.

Responsibilities

• Lead design teams on long-span and complex bridges across the Americas.
• Perform advanced structural planning, analysis and development of contract documents.
• Sign and seal contract documents where appropriate and ensure code compliance.
• Mentor staff and lead multi-office teams with strong project management.
• Engage with clients, participate in business development and proposals.
• Coordinate and manage budgets, schedules, and quality on major projects.
