Job summary

Cathay Bank is seeking a Branch Manager to oversee all aspects of a branch, from administration and compliance to sales and profitability. You will lead staff, drive business development, and ensure excellent client service while maintaining strong community relations.

The role includes setting budgets, achieving goals, and ensuring adherence to policies. Strong lending knowledge and leadership abilities are essential for success in this position.

Qualifications

• College degree in business or finance preferred.
• 3–5 years banking experience, including 2 years branch management.
• Thorough knowledge of federal/state and IRS regulations.

Responsibilities

• Manage branch office to meet admin, compliance, operational, sales and profitability goals.
• Make regular business development calls to solicit loans and deposits.
• Train staff on product knowledge, sales and service techniques.
• Represent the bank in the community through civic activities.
• Ensure policies/procedures are followed and promote fair practices.
• Lead weekly sales/service meetings and motivate staff.
• Oversee training and cross-training of staff and resolve HR issues.
• Oversee/monitor operations and ensure branch audits are satisfactory.
• Authorize loans, overdrafts, checks and other items; sign official documents.
