Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking a Supervisor, Biomedical Equipment Technician to lead a team of technicians at Glenbrook Hospital in Glenview, IL. You will oversee daily operations, allocate resources, and drive high-quality clinical engineering services across complex devices.

You will lead technical guidance, coach staff, ensure regulatory compliance, and coordinate vendor resources to meet maintenance goals and safety standards, while supporting growth and development of team members.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Associate level education in Biomedical/Electronics tech with CBET preferred.
• Typically 5 years of preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and design context for biomedical equipment.
• Valid driver's license and CBET preferred; OEM training on advanced devices is a plus.
• Experience leading Biomedical Equipment Technicians, interns, and coordinating vendor resources.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day leadership and supervision of Biomedical Equipment Technicians.
• Plan and allocate team work, performance feedback, and development opportunities.
• Manage planned maintenance schedules and assign work orders by priority and workload.
• Troubleshoot and repair non-imaging diagnostic/therapeutic devices; install and calibrate.
• Ensure compliance with manufacturer guidelines, codes, and organizational policies.
• Support safety rounds, meetings, and service recovery when issues arise.
• Mentor technicians and interns; identify training needs and growth opportunities.
• Support refurbishment, relocation, and equipment-modification projects.
