Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking a Supervisor, Biomedical Equipment Technician at Evanston Hospital to lead a team of Biomedical Equipment Technicians. You will allocate work, mentor staff, and ensure safe, reliable operation of clinical engineering services across diagnostics and therapeutic devices.

Responsibilities include planning maintenance, coordinating vendor resources, troubleshooting advanced equipment, and enforcing compliance with regulatory standards while supporting safety initiatives

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in biomedical or electronics technology (or equivalent military training).
• Valid driver's license.
• Certified Biomedical Equipment Technician (CBET) - Preferred.
• Typically 5 years of experience in preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and design of biomedical equipment or comparable devices.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day leadership and supervision of Biomedical Equipment Technicians.
• Plan and allocate team resources to meet maintenance and service needs.
• Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair non-imaging diagnostic and therapeutic devices.
• Ensure compliance with manufacturer guidelines, codes, regulatory requirements.
• Support safety and customer-service rounding with leadership.
• Mentor junior technicians and interns.
• Support refurbishment, relocation, and equipment-modification projects.
