Endeavor Health seeks a Supervisor, Biomedical Equipment Technician to lead a team across day-to-day operations at Highland Park Hospital. You will plan maintenance, allocate work, and mentor technicians while ensuring safe, compliant service delivery of complex medical devices.

You will coordinate vendor resources, escalate complex issues, and drive process improvements in a high-volume clinical engineering environment in the Highland Park area.

Qualifications

• Requires associate degree in biomedical or electronics tech; CBET preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and design of biomedical equipment.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day leadership and supervision of Biomedical Equipment Technicians, including work direction, coaching, performance feedback, development, training, and accountability.
• Manage planned maintenance schedules and assign work orders based on workload and service needs; coordinate vendor resources as needed.
• Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair non-imaging diagnostic and therapeutic medical devices; install, calibrate, and test new devices.
• Ensure compliance with manufacturer guidelines, codes, regulatory requirements, and policies; monitor performance and quality.
• Partner on safety and customer-service activities; participate in safety meetings and rounds.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to technicians and interns; identify training needs.
• Support refurbishment, relocation, and equipment-modification projects; review literature for process improvements.
• Identify equipment replacement needs and collaborate with manufacturers on technical information.
