Endeavor Health is seeking a Supervisor, Biomedical Equipment Technician in Evanston Hospital to lead a team of Biomedical Equipment Technicians in daily operation, planning, and performance. You will oversee work distribution, staff development, and ensure high-quality clinical engineering services across the site.

The role involves advanced technical work on diagnostic and therapeutic devices, collaboration with the CE Operations Manager, and ensuring compliance with standards while mentoring

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in biomedical or electronics technology or equivalent military training.
• CBET certification is preferred.
• Typically 5 years of experience in preventive maintenance and troubleshooting.
• OEM training on advanced devices such as ventilators or monitoring systems is a plus.
• Licensure: Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day leadership and supervision of Biomedical Equipment Technicians.
• Plan and allocate team resources with the CE Operations Manager.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and calibrate diagnostic and therapeutic medical devices.
• Ensure compliance with manufacturer guidelines and regulatory requirements.
• Support safety initiatives, meetings, and service recovery when concerns arise.
• Mentor junior technicians and student interns, guiding technical growth.
• Assist with equipment refurbishment, relocation, and modification projects.
• Identify equipment replacement needs and collaborate with manufacturers.
