Job summary

B&I Contractors, Inc. is seeking an experienced BIM/VDC Team Lead – HVAC Pipe to join our Florida team. This senior role supervises the BIM/VDC group, applies company standards, and ensures constructible, model-based outputs for MEP systems across multiple projects.

You will mentor Coordinators, Detailers, and Trainees, coordinate with Project Management and Field Operations, and drive process improvements to enhance coordination, fabrication readiness, and documentation quality.

Qualifications

• 5–8+ years of BIM/VDC, mechanical detailing, or MEP coordination experience.
• 3+ years of leadership or team management experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee development of coordinated, constructible mechanical models for fabrication, installation, and project delivery.
• Review and approve VDC deliverables to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Lead clash detection and resolution with internal teams and external trades; track and close issues.
• Supervise Coordinators, Detailers, and Trainees; assign workloads and manage resources.
• Collaborate with Project Management, Field Operations, and Fabrication Shop leadership to align VDC with project goals.
• Identify workflow gaps and contribute to standards, templates, and detailing practices.
