Job summary

B&I Contractors, Inc. is seeking a BIM/VDC Team Lead – HVAC Pipe in Tampa, FL. You will supervise the BIM/VDC team, ensure constructible model outputs, and coordinate with PM, Field Ops, and fabrication.

Qualifications

• 5–8+ years in BIM/VDC, mechanical detailing, or MEP coordination in construction.
• 3+ years in leadership or team management roles.
• Experience on commercial, industrial, healthcare, or large-scale mechanical projects.
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems, sequencing, and field installation.

Responsibilities

• Oversee development of coordinated, constructible mechanical models supporting fabrication and delivery.
• Lead clash detection, resolve issues, and ensure model integrity across projects.
• Supervise Coordinators, Detailers, and Trainees; assign workloads and evaluate performance.
• Coordinate with Project Management, Field Operations, and Fabrication Shop leadership.
• Drive workflow improvements and maintain standards, templates, and detailing practices.
• Provide technical support to resolve modeling and coordination challenges.
