Terracon is seeking a Billing Specialist to oversee invoicing accuracy and timeliness for complex, high-revenue projects. You will partner with IT and other Accounting & Finance teams to optimize invoicing processes.

The role requires a 5+ year background in accounting/invoicing, strong Excel/Office skills, and the ability to interpret contracts for revenue recognition. This on-site position supports National Accounts and ERP system improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field; or 9+ years of related experience in lieu of degree.
• Demonstrates competence in critical thinking, interpersonal relationships, and technical skills.
• Flexible and adaptable to changing workflow and business needs; proficient with Microsoft Office.
• A valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history may be required.

Responsabilités

• Oversee accuracy and timely completion of invoicing for complex, large revenue projects.
• Coordinate workload of billing staff; supervise staff if needed and delegate tasks.
• Read project contracts and explain how contractual language affects billing and revenue.
• Ensure evidence of arrangement exists for revenue recognition; liaise with PM and other departments as needed.
• Centralize National Account billing and coordinate with National Account Managers.
• Respond to client invoice inquiries; lead sessions to resolve issues.
• Perform QA audits on invoicing and collections for assigned clients or projects.
• Provide excellent client service and maintain professional relationships with internal and external clients.
• Participate in billing application testing and ERP improvements as needed.
• Assist with training materials and staff training; support accounting leadership on initiatives.
