Job summary

Terracon is seeking an experienced finance professional to oversee invoicing accuracy and timely completion for complex regional projects. You will work with IT and other accounting teams on invoicing systems and revenue recognition.

Responsibilities include coordinating regional finance workloads, contract interpretation for billing, and QA of invoicing and collections. Strong MS Office skills and leadership ability are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field, or 9+ years of related experience.
• Strong critical thinking, interpersonal relationships, communication and technical skills.

• Flexible and adaptable to changing workflow and business needs.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office software.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the accuracy and timely completion of invoicing activities for complex regional projects or clients.
• Support other Corporate or Operational Finance staff with escalated invoicing and reporting activities.
• Coordinate workload of the Regional Finance Team and assign special projects as needed.
• Read and understand project contracts related to billing and revenue recognition and communicate impacts to project financials.
• Ensure evidence of arrangement exists for revenue recognition with project management and other departments.
• Resolve questions from operations regarding invoicing status and follow up.
• Perform quality assurance audits on invoicing and collections activities.
• Provide excellent internal and external client service by maintaining a professional attitude and collaborating on solutions.
• Perform data analysis as needed and participate in meetings with management for invoicing and reporting updates.
• Participate in billing application and system testing as appropriate and requested.
• Create training materials and provide training for staff to increase knowledge.
• Participate in ERP improvements and ad hoc projects as assigned by leadership.
• Assist regional finance with procurement activities and supplier onboarding.
• Support Pricing Tool adoption for quotes and project creation.
• Follow safety rules and maintain quality standards on all projects.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
