Actalent is seeking a Project BESS Engineer in Florida to lead design and oversight of large-scale battery energy storage projects. The role focuses on safety, compliance, and integration across engineering disciplines, with input from project managers and suppliers.

The position requires hands-on PV/energy storage experience, strong communication, and travel up to 25% to project sites and supplier facilities.

Qualifications

3+ years in solar or PV engineering and/or construction.
Electrical engineering background with hands-on energy storage or renewable projects.
Experience with battery storage systems, power electronics, and related safety standards.

Responsibilities

Support design phase and engineer major components for large-scale energy storage projects.
Review drawings, identify inconsistencies, and drive quality improvements.
Prepare technical scopes of work for contracts and ensure deliverables.
Collaborate with project managers and cross-functional teams through project lifecycle.
Coordinate with suppliers to integrate major equipment into system designs.
Monitor milestones, assess technical risks, and propose mitigations.
Travel up to 25% to project sites and supplier facilities.
