This role involves ensuring compliance with electrical codes, mentoring junior engineers, and leading the design process from concept to commissioning. Candidates should have a strong background in power systems and experience with BESS. Ideal candidates will possess a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and relevant industry experience. The position is based in Chicago with some travel required.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in power systems or renewable energy engineering.
• 5+ years in Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).
• PE license in Illinois or the ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the design of BESS systems.
• Manage compliance with MISO/PJM interconnection requirements.
• Mentor and develop junior engineers.
