Job summary

SOLV Energy, LLC is seeking a Senior BESS Engineer to lead the design, development, implementation, and optimization of battery energy storage systems. This fully remote role requires oversight across electrical, civil, structural, SCADA, and HV engineering scopes, managing Engineers of Record and partners to ensure timely delivery.

Applicants should have 5+ years in BESS/renewables with deep knowledge of BESS controls, inverters, BMS, and grid interconnection.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years in electrical engineering with BESS/renewables or power systems.
• PE license preferred; strong knowledge of NEC, IEEE, NFPA standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the design and engineering of BESS projects.
• Review feasibility studies and system sizing analyses.
• Coordinate with fire protection engineers and AHJ.
• Provide engineering support during construction and commissioning.
• Mentor junior engineers and support business development.
