Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a Senior Engineer, Construction – Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) to provide advanced technical oversight and SME support across EPC projects. The role focuses on high-risk BESS scopes, EOR/vendor coordination, system integration, and commissioning activities.

The position is fully remote with discussions on location during interview. The ideal candidate has a PE license preferred, 3–5+ years in BESS or related electrical engineering, and strong ability to resolve

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 3–5+ years of progressive electrical engineering or BESS EPC experience with advanced technical responsibility.
• Strong understanding of BESS design, integration, commissioning interfaces, and grid interconnection equipment.
• Experience coordinating EORs, vendors, AHJs, owners, and internal teams to resolve complex engineering issues.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior engineering oversight for BESS scopes including equipment layout, electrical integration, controls, and commissioning support.
• Coordinate Engineers of Record, vendors, consultants, and AHJs to ensure timely, compliant deliverables.
• Review BESS drawings, specifications, and vendor docs for contract and project alignment.
• Support warranty investigations and root-cause analysis for BESS equipment and installations.
• Mentor junior staff and contribute to engineering standards and templates.
