Job summary

The Senior Engineer, Construction – Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) provides advanced technical oversight and acts as a SME for BESS engineering coordination on EPC projects.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field required.
3–5+ years of progressive electrical engineering, BESS engineering, EPC, or energy storage experience with advanced technical responsibility.
Strong understanding of BESS design, integration, and commissioning interfaces.
Experience coordinating EORs, vendors, consultants, AHJs, owners, and internal project teams.
Experience reviewing engineering drawings, vendor documentation, and commissioning docs.

Responsibilities

Serve as a BESS SME for engineering scopes including layout, wiring, controls, fire protection interfaces, and commissioning support.
Coordinate Engineers of Record, vendors, consultants, AHJs, owners, and stakeholders to deliver timely BESS engineering deliverables.
Review drawings, specs, vendor docs, commissioning docs for alignment with contract and SOLV requirements.
Track engineering actions, comments, and design revisions through closure.
Support resolution of technical conflicts and field questions related to BESS scope.
