Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a Senior Engineer, Construction – Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) to provide technical oversight on EPC projects, coordinate engineers of record, and lead high-risk BESS scopes from design through commissioning in a fully remote role.

The role demands in-depth knowledge of BESS design, integration, fire protection interfaces, and project execution requirements, with 3-5+ years of related experience; a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering and a PE license preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical field.
• 3-5+ years of progressive electrical engineering, BESS engineering, EPC, or energy storage experience.
• Strong understanding of BESS design, integration, commissioning interfaces, and controls.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a BESS subject matter expert for battery energy storage system engineering scopes.
• Coordinate Engineers of Record, vendors, and project stakeholders to deliver BESS engineering deliverables.
• Review BESS drawings, specifications, and vendor documentation for alignment with project requirements.
• Track engineering action items and design revisions through closure across assigned projects.
• Support field questions, vendor coordination issues, and warranty-related discussions.
