Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a Senior Engineer, Construction – Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) to provide advanced technical oversight and SME-level guidance across EPC, commissioning, and warranty activities. This senior IC role supports high-risk BESS scopes, coordinates with EORs and vendors, and drives standardization and continuous improvement across projects.

The position is fully remote with discussions on location during interviews.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical field is required.
3-5+ years in electrical engineering, BESS, EPC, or utility-scale energy projects with advanced technical responsibility.
Strong understanding of BESS design, integration, and commissioning interfaces.
Experience coordinating EORs, vendors, AHJs, and project teams to deliver complex engineering deliverables.
Knowledge of NEC, IEEE, IBC, NFPA 855, UL 9540/9540A standards.

Responsibilities

Act as BESS SME for engineering scopes including layout, electrical integration, controls, fire protection interfaces, commissioning support, and project execution.
Coordinate Engineers of Record, vendors, consultants, AHJs, owners, and stakeholders for timely deliverables.
Review drawings, specs, vendor docs, and commissioning documentation for contract and site alignment.
Track action items and revisions through closure across projects.
Support field questions, vendor coordination issues, and technical conflicts.
