Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a Senior Engineer, Construction – Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) to provide senior technical oversight for EPC projects nationwide. This role emphasizes coordination of EORs, vendors, and AHJs, review of drawings and reports, and field support during construction and commissioning.

Ideal candidates bring 3–5+ years in BESS or related power systems, strong analytical and communication skills, and a PE license is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical field.
• 3-5+ years of progressive electrical engineering or BESS experience with advanced technical responsibility.
• Knowledge of BESS design, integration, commissioning interfaces, and grid interconnection.
• Experience coordinating EORs, vendors, AHJs, and internal teams.
• Familiarity with NEC, IEEE, IBC, NFPA 855, UL 9540/9540A standards.
• Strong analytical and communication skills for technical discussions.
• Proficiency in MS Office; AutoCAD/Bluebeam is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior-level BESS engineering oversight across design, review, and commissioning.
• Coordinate EORs, vendors, and AHJs to ensure timely deliverables.
• Review drawings, specs, and vendor docs for contract alignment and project needs.
• Support field teams during construction, testing, and warranty investigations.
• Mentor junior staff and contribute to standards development.
