Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a Senior Engineer, Construction – BESS to provide high-level engineering oversight for battery energy storage systems on EPC projects. Fully remote position with real responsibilities in design review, coordination, and field support.

You will mentor teams, review drawings, coordinate EORs, vendors, AHJs, and commissioning teams, and contribute to standards development. Applicants must have 3-5+ years in BESS/energy storage and a PE is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• 3-5+ years of progressive electrical engineering or BESS experience.
• Strong understanding of BESS design, integration, and commissioning.
• Experience reviewing drawings, vendor docs, and commissioning docs.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
• Willingness to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior engineering oversight during BESS construction, testing and commissioning.
• Coordinate with EORs, vendors, AHJs, and owners to ensure deliverables.
• Review and validate BESS layouts, single-line diagrams and control narratives.
• Support warranty investigations and root-cause analysis for BESS systems.
• Develop technical guidance and standards for field teams.
