Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a Senior Engineer, Construction – Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) to lead high‑level engineering efforts and coordinate with Engineers of Record, vendors, AHJs, and project teams across EPC projects.

The role emphasizes technical leadership, oversight of BESS scopes, and support for commissioning, warranty activities, and standards development while enabling remote work arrangements during the interview process.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• 3–5+ years in BESS, EPC, or utility-scale energy projects.
• Experience with BESS design, integration, and controls.
• Ability to coordinate EORs, vendors, AHJs and project teams.
• Familiarity with NEC/IEEE and power system standards.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior engineering oversight for BESS scopes.
• Coordinate Engineers of Record, vendors, and consultants.
• Review drawings, specs, and vendor docs for conformance.
• Support commissioning, warranty, and field issues.
• Mentor junior staff and contribute to standards.
