Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a Senior Engineer, Construction – Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) to provide advanced engineering oversight for EPC projects nationwide. You will own high‑complexity BESS coordination, review scopes, and mentor junior engineers.

This fully remote role involves technical leadership, system integration, fire protection interfaces, commissioning support, and warranty activities across multiple sites. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical field required.
• 3-5+ years of progressive electrical engineering, BESS engineering, EPC or energy storage experience.
• Strong understanding of BESS design, integration, and commissioning interfaces.
• Experience coordinating EORs, vendors, consultants, and project teams to resolve issues.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior-level engineering oversight during BESS construction, testing, commissioning, energization, and turnover.
• Review drawings, vendor documentation, and commissioning procedures for contract alignment.
• Coordinate with EORs, vendors, AHJs, and project teams to obtain timely responses and revisions.
• Mentor staff and contribute to standards development and review workflows.
• Support warranty investigations, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions.
