Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a Senior Engineer, Construction – Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) to provide advanced technical oversight and subject matter expertise for EPC project execution, commissioning, and warranty activities. This role focuses on high-risk BESS scopes and coordination with vendors, AHJs, and project teams.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
3–5+ years in electrical engineering, BESS, EPC or energy storage.
Experience coordinating EORs, vendors, consultants, AHJs and internal teams.
Knowledge of NEC, IEEE, IBC, NFPA 855, UL 9540.
Strong communication and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

Serve as BESS SME for engineering scopes including layouts, integration, controls, fire protection, commissioning.
Coordinate Engineers of Record, vendors, AHJs, and project stakeholders.
Review drawings, specifications, vendor docs, and commissioning reports for contract alignment.
Track action items and responses through closure.
Provide senior-level support during construction, testing, commissioning, energization and turnover.
Mentor junior staff and lead technical discussions.
