The Senior Engineer, Construction – Battery Energy Storage Systems is a senior contributor providing technical oversight, BESS expertise, and coordination for EPC execution, commissioning, and warranty activities. Remote work is available with interview discussions for specifics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• 3–5+ years in electrical engineering, BESS, EPC, or utility-scale energy storage with high responsibility.
• Strong understanding of BESS design, integration, commissioning interfaces, and grid interconnection.
• Experience coordinating EORs, vendors, and internal teams to resolve complex issues.
• Familiarity with NEC, IEEE, IBC, NFPA 855, UL 9540 standards and related project requirements.

Responsibilities

• Serve as BESS SME for engineering scopes including layout, integration, and commissioning.
• Coordinate engineers of record, vendors, and consultants to deliver timely deliverables.
• Review drawings, specifications, and vendor docs for contract alignment.
• Track action items and responses through closure across projects.
• Support field questions, vendor issues, and coordination between teams during execution.
• Participate in warranty investigations and root-cause analyses for BESS equipment.
