Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field; master's preferred.
• 3+ years of electrical engineering with focus on BESS, renewables, or power systems.
• Experience in design, integration, and optimization of BESS components (lithium-ion, inverters, BMS, interconnection).
• Knowledge of BESS control strategies and optimization software.
• Proficiency with power system analysis tools (PSS/E, PSCAD).
• Familiarity with NEC, IEEE, IBC, NFPA, and utility standards.
• PE license preferred; ability to lead multi-discipline teams.

Responsibilities

• Serve as SME for BESS scopes guiding project teams.
• Lead design and engineering of BESS ensuring contracts, utilities, and AHJ compliance.
• Review feasibility studies and system sizing analyses for optimal configurations.
• Coordinate with fire protection engineers and AHJs.
• Develop specifications, drawings, and documentation for BESS components to support procurement.
• Mentor junior engineers and project teams.
