First Merchants in Merrillville, IN is seeking a Senior Client Relationship Representative to deliver high-quality customer service, open accounts, and process loan applications. You will identify opportunities to meet clients' financial needs and drive sales in a fast-paced banking center.

You will manage complex service requests, maintain client records, and collaborate with internal partners to offer integrated banking solutions while adhering to regulatory requirements and risk controls.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 1 year banking or sales experience; at least 6 months selling products or services.
• S.A.F.E Act registration at time of employment through NMLS; must meet requirements within 3 months.
• Notary Public designation a plus.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of bank products/services offered across lines of business.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional client experience by handling complex service and relationship needs.
• Conduct in-depth conversations to understand clients' financial situations and recommend integrated solutions across product lines.
• Open new consumer and business accounts and process loan applications accurately.
• Lead with CRM and sales tools to document activity and manage pipelines; support incentive plan requirements.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, security, and internal control standards; escalate risks as needed.
