First Merchants is seeking a Senior Client Relationship Representative to join our team. The role focuses on delivering high-quality customer service, processing bank transactions, opening accounts, and handling loan applications while identifying opportunities to meet clients' financial needs.

You will lead in customer experience, operational excellence, and sales leadership, serving as a mentor to junior staff and ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Minimum 1 year banking, sales, or related experience and at least 6 months selling products or services.
• S.A.F.E Act registration at time of employment through NMLS; must meet qualifications within 3 months.
• Ability to obtain Notary Public designation.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• In-depth knowledge of products/services offered by the bank.

Responsibilities

• Deliver an exceptional client experience by managing complex service and relationship needs in a fast-paced banking center environment.
• Serve as a trusted advisor by understanding clients’ financial situations and recommending solutions across product lines.
• Act as a point of escalation for advanced client inquiries and service issues with timely resolution.
• Strengthen client relationships by leveraging insights to build loyalty and retention.
• Maintain accurate client records to support relationship building.
