Affim is hiring for a Batch Infra engineering role focused on building reliable, scalable compute platforms for ML, product, and financial engineering workloads. You will own quarterly goals, lead engineers, and collaborate with product, design, and analytics to balance risks and deliverables.

Qualifications

• 4+ years designing, developing and launching backend systems at scale.
• Experience with AWS, MySQL and Kubernetes for highly available distributed systems.
• Experience with workflow orchestration frameworks like Airflow, Flyte, Prefect, Temporal, Luigi, etc.
• Experience scaling frameworks like Spark/Flink on Kubernetes for large datasets.
• Ability to define a technical plan for delivery with clear design.
• Proven track record delivering maintainable, high-quality code.
• Strong communication to collaborate with a global team.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field.

Responsibilities

• Own and deliver quarterly goals for the team, guiding engineers through ambiguity.
• Collaborate with product management, design & analytics in ideation and decision-making.
• Identify and lead resolution of project, process, technology or business issues.
• Support operations and availability of team artifacts; monitor metrics and assist on-call efforts.
• Set and promote code review and design standards across the team.
• Develop talent by giving feedback and guidance and leading by example.
