Job summary

Affim is seeking an experienced backend-focused engineer to shape the AI Platform that powers scalable, secure AI workloads. You will design gateways, runtimes, and evaluation services, while enabling governance, cost attribution, and reliability for millions of users.

You will partner with security, infra, and product teams to set guardrails and own the operational health of your systems through metrics, runbooks, and on-call readiness.

Qualifications

• 4+ years building backend systems at scale.
• Experience with AWS, MySQL and Kubernetes.
• Practical experience with AI/Large Language Models in production.
• Ability to own large features and drive standards.

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and own technical decisions and projects within the AI Platform team.
• Design and build gateway, runtime, and evaluation services for AI workloads.
• Implement identity, quota, routing, caching, and failover controls.
• Collaborate with security, infra, and product teams to set guardrails.
• Create and monitor metrics; own operational health, runbooks, and on-call.
• Set code review and design standards; promote them beyond the team.
