Qualifications

• 5+ years of backend software engineering with production data systems or data pipelines.
• Experience designing data-intensive systems and integrating with large-scale data infra.
• Experience designing and integrating with onchain smart contracts (Ethereum/Base or Solana).
• Proven ability to iterate on code repos and production software systems.
• Responsible use of generative AI with human oversight for business-ready outputs.

Responsibilities

• Integrate new blockchains, DEXs, and launchpads into the Coinbase app for more onchain assets.
• Design and implement first-party smart contracts for onchain trading primitives.
• Scale real-time data pipelines to handle 100K+ messages per second with millisecond latency.
• Optimize the trading stack end-to-end for fastest execution and best asset coverage.
• Drive agentic-first development patterns to accelerate team velocity.
