Coinbase, Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for the Retail DEX team within the Consumer & Business group. You will work on data-intensive backends that power onchain and offchain trading across Base and Solana, delivering a unified trading experience for millions of users.

You’ll design, implement, and scale real-time data pipelines and on-chain primitives, collaborating across products, with quarterly in-person surges and a remote-first work model.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of backend software engineering with data systems experience.

Responsibilities

• Integrate blockchains, DEXs, and launchpads into the Coinbase app to unlock more onchain assets for millions of traders.
• Design and implement on-chain trading primitives via smart contracts to improve execution quality and capability.
• Scale real-time data pipelines to handle 100K+ messages per second for millisecond-latency data.
• Optimize the trading stack end-to-end for fastest execution and broad asset coverage.
• Drive iteration on agentic-first development patterns to build self-improving software and tooling.
