Coinbase is hiring a Senior Software Engineer, Backend (Retail DEX) to join the Consumer & Business group. You will work on data and trading systems powering onchain trading in the Coinbase app, supporting millions of traders across assets on Base and Solana.

You will design, implement, and optimize data pipelines and onchain contracts, targeting millisecond-latency processing and high-throughput delivery while advancing AI-assisted tooling for team velocity.

Qualifikationen

• 5+ years of backend software engineering experience with data systems production work.
• Experience designing data-intensive systems and integrating with large-scale data infra.
• Proven experience with onchain smart contracts on EVM or Solana.
• Ability to build and evolve agentic-first code and tooling.
• Responsible use of generative AI with human oversight.

Aufgaben

• Integrate new blockchains, DEXs, and launchpads into the Coinbase app.
• Design and implement first-party onchain smart contracts for trading primitives.
• Scale real-time data pipelines to 100K+ messages per second.
• Optimize the trading stack for fastest execution and broad asset coverage.
• Drive agentic-first development patterns to accelerate team velocity.
