Coinbase, Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for the Retail DEX team. You will work on data-heavy backend systems that power onchain trading, delivering a seamless experience across off‑chain and on‑chain environments.

You will integrate blockchains, design onchain contracts, scale real‑time data pipelines, and optimize the trading stack for better execution and asset coverage. You’ll also push forward agentic‑first patterns and responsible AI usage.

Qualificações

• 5+ years of backend software engineering experience in production data systems or data pipelines.
• Experience designing data‑intensive systems and integrating with large‑scale data infrastructure.
• Experience designing and integrating with onchain smart contracts (Ethereum/Base or Solana).
• Proven ability to build and iterate on production software systems.
• Responsible use of generative AI with human oversight to improve workflows.

Responsabilidades

• Integrate new blockchains, DEXs, and launchpads into the main Coinbase app to enable more onchain assets.
• Design and implement first‑party smart contracts for onchain trading primitives.
• Scale real‑time data pipelines to handle 100K+ messages per second with millisecond latency.
• Optimize the trading stack end‑to‑end for fastest execution and best fills.
• Drive agentic‑first development patterns to accelerate team velocity.
