Job summary

Affirm is hiring for a senior leadership role within the Ledger Engineering team to set the technical strategy for backend systems at scale. You will guide cross-functional collaboration with product, design and analytics to ensure sustainable architectures and responsible risk management across critical financial platforms.

Qualifications

8+ years designing, developing and launching backend systems at scale.
Experience in financial ledgering or treasury domains is a plus.
Ability to translate ambiguity into architectural plans and tangible work.
Proven track record delivering major features and system components.

Responsibilities

Set technical strategy for the team on a year-long horizon.
Collaborate with product, design and analytics to ensure sustainability and risk management.
Define and advocate technical solutions and operational processes.
Own team operations, monitoring, and on-call readiness.
