Job summary

SimVentions, Inc. is seeking a mid-level to senior software-focused Systems Engineer to perform software systems engineering for the acquisition, development and sustainment of aviation programs. This is a full-time on-site role at the NAVAIR base in Patuxent River, MD with US citizenship and an active clearance required.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years in software/systems engineering, experience with military avionics, and familiarity with SE processes and SAFe/Agile practices.

Qualifications

• At least ten years experience performing software and systems engineering activities.
• Experience with DOD avionics and/or software in military aircraft.
• Active Secret clearance required; Top Secret possible after start; US citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain software requirements.
• Coordinate with vendors on software and system integration.
• Review software specifications and evaluate vendor software.
• Participate in System Engineering Technical Reviews (SRRs, PDRs, CDRs, TRRs).
• Support ECPs, SOWs and CDRLs, and assist in contractor evaluations.
