Job summary
SimVentions, Inc. is seeking a mid-level to senior software-focused Systems Engineer to perform software systems engineering for the acquisition, development and sustainment of various aviation programs.
This position requires full-time on-site presence at the NAVAIR base in Patuxent River, MD and an ACTIVE Secret clearance. The role involves coordinating with vendors, supporting SE reviews, and contributing to Agile/SAFe processes while aligning with cybersecurity and systems safety
Qualifications
- At least ten years experience performing software and systems engineering activities.
- Experience with military aircraft avionic systems and/or software.
- Active Secret Clearance is required (Top Secret possible later).
- US citizenship required for clearance eligibility.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain software requirements.
- Review and evaluate vendor software specifications.
- Coordinate with vendors on software and system integration.
- Conduct analysis of software defects.
- Coordinate with cybersecurity SMEs.
- Participate in SE Technical Reviews (SRRs, PDRs, CDRs, TRRs, etc.).
- Support ECP process and SOW/CDRL work.
- Develop IGCEs and assist technical evaluations.
