Job summary
SimVentions is seeking a mid-level to senior Software-focused Systems Engineer for the acquisition, development, and sustainment of aviation programs. The role requires full-time on-site presence at the NAVAIR base in PAX River, MD, and an ACTIVE Secret clearance with potential Top Secret clearance in the future.
Candidates should have at least ten years in software and systems engineering, experience with avionics, and a BS from an ABET-accredited program.
Qualifications
- At least ten years experience performing software and systems engineering activities.
- Experience with military aircraft avionic systems and/or software.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain software requirements.
- Review and evaluate vendor software specifications.
- Coordinate with vendors on software and system integration.
- Conduct analysis of software defects.
- Coordinate with cybersecurity subject Matter experts.
- Participate in System Engineering Technical Reviews (SRRs, SSRs, PDRs, CDRs, TRRs, etc.).
- Support the Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) process.
- Participate in Agile and SAFe team processes.
- Prepare and review Statements of Work (SOWs) and CDRLs.
- Develop Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCEs).
- Support technical evaluations of Contractor proposals.
