Job summary

Blue Origin LLC is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead the mechanical design, analysis, test and review of avionics packaging for lunar missions in a highly collaborative team. You will work with Electrical, Systems, Manufacturing, and Quality teams to deliver rugged enclosures and certified assemblies.

The role requires strong leadership, deep mechanical expertise, and the ability to mentor junior engineers while managing multiple design efforts in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• B.S. in mechanical or aerospace engineering required.
• 10+ years of experience designing ruggedized electronic enclosures or similar high reliability hardware.
• Proficiency in static structural, modal, random vibration, and thermal analysis.
• Experience with Creo, Windchill, and Ansys is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership in a cross-disciplinary team within a fast-paced design environment.
• Participate in the full design cycle of flight and mission-critical avionics.
• Collaborate with customers to define requirements and design architecture.
