Job summary

Blue Origin in Denver, Colorado, is looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join the Lunar Permanence business unit. This role involves designing avionics enclosures for lunar transportation systems that will enable human presence beyond Earth.

The ideal candidate will have a B.S. in mechanical or aerospace engineering, with over 5 years of experience in ruggedized electronic designs and proficiency in CAD tools like Creo and Ansys. Passion for our mission and vision is essential.

Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident, or lawfully admitted as a refugee or granted asylum.
• History of communicating design concepts and analysis results.

Responsibilities

• Contribute as a member of a cross-disciplinary team in a fast-paced design environment.
• Participate in the entire design cycle of flight and mission critical avionics.
• Design avionics enclosure solutions for performance and reliability.

Skills

5+ years of experience designing ruggedized electronic enclosures

Experience with 3D CAD modeling programs

Experience with static structural, modal, random vibration, and thermal analysis

GD&T implementation and analysis (ASME Y14.5)

Ability to be self-directed

Excellent communication skills

Education

B.S. degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering
