Job summary

Blue Origin in the Seattle area is seeking an experienced Avionics Hardware Engineer to own digital, analog, and mixed‑signal circuit avionics designs that interact with sensors and actuators across the spacecraft. You will oversee the hardware lifecycle from concept through production, contribute to mission assurance, and collaborate with a safety‑focused, diverse team.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical or Computer Engineering or related field.
• Experience with complex electronics hardware development for aerospace or consumer electronics.
• Experience with IR/visible sensors and related components.
• Knowledge of signal integrity, grounding, and board layout.

Responsibilities

• Develop, lead, and own digital, analog, and mixed-signal circuit avionic designs that interact with avionics systems.
• Own avionics boards and rugged hardware across the product lifecycle from concept to production.
• Support avionics controller architecture trade studies and performance characterization.
• Support FMECA, DFx, root-cause analysis of test discrepancies.
• Participate in technology development, mission assurance, and safety initiatives.
• Communicate development status, risks, and challenges to management.
