Collins Aerospace in Cedar Rapids, Iowa seeks a Senior Systems Engineer for Military Avionics Flight Management. You will work with cross-functional engineers to design, develop, and test flight management software for helicopters and aircraft, in an AGILE environment.

This role requires strong Systems Engineering knowledge, collaboration, and proactive leadership. Occasional travel is expected, and the team values customers, products, and people.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a STEM degree with 5+ years of experience, or an advanced degree with 3+ years of experience.
• 4+ years of experience with C, C++, DOORS, ADA, and/or Python.
• 4+ years of experience in a Systems role.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test flight management software features for flight management systems in military helicopters and planes.
• Master knowledge of Systems Engineering and Flight Management Systems.
• Integrate leadership, communication, coordination, and proactiveness in a dynamic environment.
• Travel (domestic and international) up to 10% as needed.
